Fullerton Named Crossroads League Track Athlete Of The Week

Indiana Wesleyan track and field sophomore Eli Fullerton was named the Crossroads League Indoor T&F Track Athlete of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. This is his first league honor of the season, and the second weekly award this year for the Wildcats. Fullerton previously earned three weekly awards during the fall cross country season.

Fullerton ran a program-record time of 8:15.70 in the 3,000-meters for Indiana Wesleyan at the Grand Valley State Big Meet. Fullerton's time was the fastest in the Crossroads League this season and the fourth-best time in the NAIA this season.

"Watching this young man progress season by season has been exciting," said John Foss, Men's Distance Coach. "This race was all about learning how to compete with the best. I am looking forward to the next two plus years and beyond for Eli."

Indiana Wesleyan will host the Indoor Crossroads League Championships this weekend on Friday and Saturday. Individuals looking to attend can purchase tickets at IWUWildcats.com/Tickets.
